Summer Camp ends suddenly. One day there are hundreds of campers and staff in camp and the next day there are just 5 staff. The loss of that all that youthful energy is palpable. Even the weather seems to change. Days are cooler and the light takes on a different feel, nights arrive earlier and temperatures drop lower, leaves begin to fall here and there.
Planning for next summer is already underway as online registrations for next year's programs will be active before Christmas, but now is the time to thank all of the hardworking, dedicated individuals who made summer camp such a success this year - the senior staff team, office assistant, camp coordinators, resident and day camp leaders, out trip leaders, lifeguards, CIT leaders, kitchen staff, cleaners and volunteers.
Successful summer camps are the result of a strong team effort and this year's team was exceptional. Close to 1900 campers attended summer camp programs, gaining new experiences, making new friends, and learning new skills through living and playing in the outdoors.
Great job everyone. We look forward to seeing all of you next year.
