Weddings on Lake Sasamat

Set in pristine Belcarra Regional Park on the shores of Sasamat Lake you will find Sasamat Outdoor Centre. Our 5 acre site has a lakefront lodge, 4 lakefront cottages and 7 lakefront cabins. Dip your feet into the crisp lake water from our private beachfront or go for a relaxing paddle in one of our canoes or kayaks. The perfect setting for your unique wedding is our hidden jewel amongst the pines. Let the true British Columbian outdoors be the setting for your special day.

Weekend Wedding Package

Guests stay in either our quaint lakefront cottages or cabins. Our facility also includes a main lodge with a fully catered kitchen, wrap-around deck and two-storey indoor and outdoor fireplaces, private beachfront, expansive docks system and a fleet of canoes and kayaks along with other program options such as climbing,wall, high ropes, archery and much more.  

Arrival = 4pm Friday
Departure = 2pm Sunday

Peak Season Minimum Group Size (April to October) = 55 ; Max group size = 80
Off Season Minimum Group Size (November to March) = 40; Max group size = 80


Per Person = $200/person

Example:
Peak Season Base Rate (April to October) = $11,000 ($200 x 55 people)

Off Season Base Rate (November to March) = $8,000 ($200 x 40 people)

Additional Costs
Groups serving alcohol must hire a Site Attendant from Sasamat Outdoor Centre for the duration of the group's liquor license if they are not hiring a bartender. The cost of a Site Attendant is $25/hour. We require a copy of your liquor license or special occasion permit the day before your event.

Groups may supply their own bartender for the duration of the group's liquor license. Bartenders must have a valid Serving it Right card in order to serve alcohol. 

Optional Costs
Groups can choose to hire Program Staff from Sasamat Outdoor Centre to allow their guests to participate in a variety of activities. Program activities include: canoeing, kayaking, swimming, climbing wall, vertical playground, high ropes, low ropes, archery and much more. Subject to availability of staff.  Please note: all waterfront activities are required to have our certified Lifeguards on duty and all participants must wear a life jacket.  The ratio is 20 people per lifeguard for swimming and boating.

Note: Groups canoeing/kayaking must have our lifeguard on duty    
Swimming - Lifeguard 1 for every 20 participants $40/hour
Climbing Wall and/or 
Vertical Playground
2 for every 8 participants $50/hour
High Ropes 2 for every 8 participants $50/hour
Low Ropes 1 for every 8 participants $35/hour
Archery 1 for every 8 participants $35/hour

4 hour minimum for all instructors

NOTE: 
Other Services Include: 

  • Sound System with Microphone, 2 speakers & mixing board (iPod/Computer plug-in)
  • Tables and Chairs (no chair covers) for seating up to 80 in lodge. If additional tables are required - the rental of tables and chairs is not included.  
  • Off-White or Gold Table Cloths (other colours or additional table cloths must be rented elsewhere.
  • 4 hours of Janitorial Services on Saturday and Sunday
  • Basic Dinnerware (fine china or additional pieces must be rented elsewhere)
  • Additional Plastic Beer Cups & Plastic Wine Glasses available for Bar
  • Paper Napkins (cloth napkins must be rented elsewhere)
 
Payment Process
  • 30% Deposit due on signing of contract
  • 30% Payment 120 days prior to event
  • 30% Payment 60 days prior to event
  • Balance due 30 days prior to event along with final group numbers & menu choices
  • All Deposits and Payments are non-refundable upon payment
  • Groups smaller than the required minimum group size will be billed the appropriate base rate.
