Community Board of Directors

Sasamat Outdoor Centre's Community Board of Directors is an elected group of individuals from Sasamat’s membership that provide oversight and support to the leadership of the organization. The Community Board of Directors serves as a touchstone to the broader community and is committed to supporting SOC to continually meet its mission and vision.

The Community Board of Directors is a tremendous asset for Sasamat Outdoor Centre, providing valuable support through strategic planning, fundraising, community advocacy work, participation at camp and public events, committee work, and support of the Sasamat Leadership Team.

The Community Board is also integrated into the broader work of the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC (ANHBC). One member of the Community Board sits as the ANHBC Board Representative, serving as a voting member on the ANHBC Board of Directors. ANHBC is one of BC's longest serving not-for-profit agencies and is active and influential in many aspects of social service in the province.

Sasamat Outdoor Centre is always seeking dedicated individuals with professional backgrounds to join our Community Board of Directors. Whether you are an Alumni of Sasamat, or a community member with a passion for the outdoors and community non-profits, joining our Community Board of Directors is a great way to get directly involved with Sasamat Outdoor Centre.
