Price: $37 per day
April Day Camp is a unique day of camp for the community at a discounted rate, to support the development of our Leadership students.
Hosted by our seasoned Leadership Instructors (individuals with many years of youth leadership under their belts), April Day Camp offers our grade ten and above Leadership students an opportunity to practice what they have spent all year learning, community leadership! It is a day full of adventure, action and creativity, and suitable for children ages 6-12.
Upon arrival campers will be greeted by our friendly staff and leadership students, and will be placed into a group of 6-7 similar aged children. Campers will spend the day playing in the forest and trying out traditional camp programs, like archery, canoeing and rock-climbing. Campers will enjoy a full day of camp, and provide future young leaders an opportunity to try their hand at counselling, with the close support of our Leadership Instructors. It is a wonderful way to come to camp, and support developing leaders at the same time.
April Day Camp, like all programs at Sasamat, is founded on the values of inclusion, respect and compassion. Campers are encouraged to try new things, but they always have the choice to decide what’s best for themselves. If a challenge arises while at camp, our highly trained staff will work with day campers to problem solve and help each camper to have a successful experience.
