Pro-Day Camp 2025 Dates

TBA

Ages: 6-12

Price: $75

Spend your Pro-D Days in the great outdoors with Pro-D Day Camp. Offered on select district or province-wide Professional Development Days, Pro-D Day Camp will take campers through a day of outdoor activities, play and fun.

Suitable for children ages 6-12, Pro-D Day Camp offers a similar program to our regular day camps, condensed into a single day. Upon arrival campers will be greeted by our wonderful staff and will be placed in a group of 6-7 similar aged children. Campers will spend the day playing outside, exploring the forest and being led through a suite of traditional camp programs such as archery, low ropes, canoeing and rock-climbing.

Pro-D Day Camp, like all programs at Sasamat, is founded on the values of inclusion, respect and compassion. Campers are encouraged to try new things, but they always have the choice to decide what’s best for themselves. If a challenge arises while at camp, our highly trained staff will work with day campers to problem solve and help each camper to have a successful experience.

Pro-D Day Camp Logistics:

Transportation

School bus transportation is not available for Pro-D Day Camp. Parents and guardians will be required to drive their camper to and from Sasamat Outdoor Centre.

Drop off: 9:45-10:00am

Pick up: 3:00-3:30pm

Facilities

Pro-D Day Campers will spend all their time outdoors. However, they’ll be assigned a bag spot, where backpacks and gear are dropped off for the day, and they’ll have access to their belongings throughout the day. Note that we recommend leaving valuables at home for the day – they’re not needed at camp!

Bathrooms are centrally located in the Main Lodge and are accessible as needed.

Food

Pro-D Day Campers must bring their own packed lunches, which must be nut-free due to the large number of children with allergies. Unfortunately, we don’t have lunches available for purchase for April Day Camp.

If your plans change and you need to adjust your registration – not a problem! Our cancellation policy outlines what fees will apply.
